VICE PRESIDENT – CRUISE PRODUCT PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

MAJOR TOUR OPERATOR

Profitable, rapidly expanding, direct marketing powerhouse specializing in providing international and domestic travel programs to American's over the age of 55. The company has escorted over 400,000 mature travelers to destinations around the world. They operate a significant cruise product line that includes river cruises, small ship cruises, and traditional cruise product.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Directs, oversees and conducts negotiations for all cruise contracts.
· Develops and maintains effective working relationships with external suppliers, internal teams, and company management.
· Works closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to develop and design product offerings.
· Prepares accurate product strategy and pricing documents for all cruise offerings.
· Provides final costing for all cruise products. Establishes and implements long range strategies for the development of new product offerings.
· Prepares and manages annual cruise product development budgets.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

· Ten years relevant, progressive travel/tourism industry experience.
· Recent experience in the negotiation of small ship and/or experiencial cruise products.
· Experience with costing, modeling, and analytics.
· Skilled negotiator with relevant travel product development experience.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to travel up to 40% including international and domestic.

COMPENSATION: $130-175,000 plus bonus, relocation and comprehensive benefits.
