This 2010 edition of the FrancophoneFest Cinema was a big success and we want to thank you all for your participation and your support.

This event promoted the Francophonie in Los Angeles with the celebration of the fraternity between the Armenian and French communities. Furthermore, we were glad that the different francophone cultures attended to this event.
The Francophone night was a the symbol of a big message: all the countries of the Francophone community of Los Angeles can be brought together.

About a thousand of people attended to the Francophone night on the September 23rd at the Egyptian Theater.
Consuls. diplomats, VIP, guests, professionnals of the entertainment industry were all here to enjoy the screenings and the party with a concert of the group Element band and a DJ.

Homage to Serge Avedikian

   

A homage has been made to S.Avedikian by the Consul of France D.Martinon and Alek Keshishian before the screening of Chienne d'histoire (Palme d'Or, Short Film, Cannes 2010).
S.Avedikian received the Award for his career achievement and honored us with his presence during that night.

The Francophone Awards

The festival came to an end on the September 26th with the Awards ceremony which saw the victory of the movie 
Les Barons by Nabil Ben Yadir (Francophone Award)

Thank you to our special jury:
Georges N. Chamchoum an award-winning film director, producer and program director of The Monaco Charity Film Festival, in Monte Carlo; Helene E. Hagan, producer, human rights activist, founder of the Los Angeles Amazigh Film Festival, which showcases Amazigh (Berber and Tuareg) work from North Africa and the Sahara; and Laurent Morlet, a television and film producer, and former Executive Director of the Los Angeles Film and TV Office of the French Embassy.
